This course discusses how to identify domestic violence when it is present, explores how family violence and agency involvement impact families, offers tips for conducting a safer and more meaningful mediation process; explores substantive topics commonly addressed in child protection mediation; and shares techniques for practicing self-care while providing a trauma-informed practice for participants.

Eligible for 4 CLE credits in Nevada, including 1 ethics and 1 substance abuse/mental health.

What People Are Saying:

Melissa, thank you so much for this training. The way you tied into dependency mediation really made me pause and think especially about past mediations. This class was very helpful.

Thank you, Melissa, for a really spot on training for a difficult subject. I wish Judges, DA's and Social Workers could all be exposed to your training. Very helpful information as I reflect on many of the difficult cases that I was involved with the years and my new role as mediator. Thank You.

This definitely makes you think and see things from a different perspective.

Great content and very informative. Well put together.
